My Passions

Faith

I live because my Savior, Jesus Christ, gave His life for me so that I might spend today and eternity with Him. I have an abundant life, because He created me for His good pleasure and loves me unconditionally.

Family

One of the greatest blessings God has given me is my family. I love them dearly. And because of what I have received through them, I desire to share with others what I’ve learned.

Church

I love my church, Victory Baptist in Weatherford, Texas. If you are ever in the area, come visit.

Cows

My husband and I own a ranch in Texas—where I go to enjoy the wonderful creation in which God has placed me. Cows bring me great joy and satisfaction (not to mention many teachable moments).

History

I love to learn the stories of people who’ve lived before me.

But I have a confession.

I want to know the uncommon history—the history not told in the school history books; the other side of the story found in someone’s journal or records kept by governments biased to a particular people group.

So I go looking for these tales, usual of ordinary men and women with extraordinary faith and courage. I hope you’ll join me and discover something you hadn’t heard before. You never know, it might cause you to look at something or someone differently from how you saw them before.

Believer, Wife, Mother, Rancher, Writer

That about sums me up. My first love is my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. My husband comes in a close second and then my children.

I spend most of my days taking care of cattle, dogs, our home, and then I write. Well, actually, I write first thing in the morning when I journal through my quiet time with God. But the formal writing happens in whatever time I have to sit before a keyboard.

So, I am really just an ordinary person living an ordinary life and writing about the things I love or telling stories that I hope reflect the truths I’ve learned through the years.

When you have a minute, I hope you are able to sit down, relax and enjoy what I share. May it above all else, bring God glory, and bring you a smile and a desire to know my Lord better.
